ENZED sponsored Supercar driver Cam Waters and Co-driver Richie Stanaway have wrapped up 3rd place in the Enduro Cup over the weekend. The 3rd place result was attributed to a strong performance in Saturday’s wet weather affair in which the duo was able to negotiate to horrid conditions for a very strong 2nd place finish.
Unfortunately Sunday didn’t go quite as well to plan, with proceedings coming to a halt at the tail end of Richie’s first stint, when he was involved in a collision with Triple Eight Racing co-driver Steven Richards. After repairs were undertaken, the team was able to continue however was never again in the hunt for a decent finish.
With the enduro’s completed; only two events remain in the 2017 Supercars Championship; the Auckland SuperSprint and the Newcastle 500. Waters currently sits 8th in points, and realistically could finish as high as 6th if results fall his way.
