Bay Park turned out a good field of 20+ Sprintcars, with full fields in each heat making for some exciting racing. Off grid 5 for heat one, Daniel made a great start getting underneath two cars directly in front into turn one slotting into 3rd down the back straight, however the race had to be started following an accident further down the field. The 2nd start went well with Daniel holding his position and moving forward into 3rd by the end of the heat.
Heat 2 from Grid 15, the Vernon & Vazey / ENZED Sprintcar had good speed and Daniel moved quickly through the field up into 8th position across the line.
Prior to the Sprintcar feature near the end of the night Bay Park had a 30 lap invitation Midget race, unfortunately due the large amount of cautions during the race the curfew time was fast approaching and the Sprintcars only got in a disappointing 3 laps of their feature race, where Daniel finished in 6th position after starting 7th.
“We ran much better at Bay Park tonight than the previous meeting down here, much to do with good shocks on the car. It was a pity we only got in a few laps as everything was going really well and I believe we had a car that was capable of a top 3 finish”, said Daniel.
