Yep that's right - we're at the end of another year in drifting! It's hard to believe because it's flown by so fast for us, but it's actually been a much longer season than normal with the usual end to the domestic drift season happening in April.
It has been a season of up's and downs for us, with so much going on its surely been a hectic one. After 6 strong years of tough competition the Silvia's engine finally decided to give way on us - not the best timing given it's mid-season blow so the patience and commitment of sponsors while we bounced back was a huge deal for the team in making the last round for the season at Taupo Motorsport Park.
This year we welcomed GT Radial tyres to the team as naming sponsor - and we have them to thank for the amazing new look on both the Silvia and Subaru. With Onehunga Panel and Paint on the job we're really happy with the sleek new synchronised look of the team.
Gull Force Pro and Motul 300V have been busy giving both the engines the grunt we need to progress power output and ENZED as well as Extreme Clutch have been able to keep us in the game and thanks to STUNglasses and M1A1 the whole team have been looking sharp at every meeting.
Taking fifth place in Taupo for the last round of the season was assurance for that that although every season has it's challenges, we wouldn't rather be doing anything else! One advantage of a longer season is that it's only a short turn-around to the start of a new calendar of events, and we've already started mapping where to from here, and that starts with some exciting upgrades to the Subaru - taking us closer to where we want to be in putting that on the world stage, with some unique New Zealand style.
