Back in April, Mike Lowe and Team ENZED Abarth successfully took part in the 2017 Targa Tasmania and were able to keep the team’s incredible 19 year finishing record in tact despite a host of obstacles throughout the event. The works-built Fiat Abarth 500 Assetto Corse Rallye was able to negotiate the notoriously challenging Tasmanian roads to finish 4thin class, beating home a third of the field! The result achieved despite accrued penalties as a consequence of repairs made to the car earlier in the week.
Mike and the team have been proudly flying the ENZED flag in both Australia and New Zealand over the years, and after much success tarmac rallying in New Zealand, Mike and team decided to take up the challenge of Targa Tasmania. We wish Mike and the team continued success back here on home soil, and look forward to their next event which will be Targa NZ, taking place on 24th-28th October.
Taking home the outright honours in the 2017 Targa Tassie event for a sixth time was Jason White and his Dodge Viper ACR Extreme, only 34 seconds ahead of the chasing field after six days of hard fought racing.
